Dangerous goods (DGR) by air: what is allowed and how to prepare

Dangerous goods travel by air under IATA DGR rules. The most common in practice are lithium batteries in equipment, aerosols, paints and reagents.
What is required
- Safety data sheet (MSDS/SDS)
- Certified UN packaging and marking
- Shipper declaration for dangerous goods
- Airline acceptance check for the class
Some cargo is allowed on freighters only (CAO). We classify in advance and choose a flight where it is accepted.
